SMYL is a mentoring organization that serves the youth of Seneca County ages 6-17 years old in three different capacities.
Traditional Mentoring: In this program, a volunteer and youth are matched one-on-one. The volunteer is asked to spend a minimum of 4 hours a month with the youth.
School Pals Mentoring: A group based mentoring program held within four different local schools. A mentor works with a group of students to form a unique relationship and help reinforce the 40 Developmental Asset lesson led by a case manager.
School Pals are held in the following schools at the specified time:
Fostoria Middle School- 6th Grade
Tuesdays, 1:55-2:55 pm
North Central Academy- 7th-12th Grade
Wednesdays, 8:15-9:00 am
Tiffin Middle School
Wednesdays, 10:33-11:21 am- 8th Grade
11:24 am -12:12 pm- 6th Grade
12:15- 1:03 pm- 7th Grade
Bridges Community Academy- 5th-12th Grade
Fridays, 8:30- 9:30am
IMPACT Mentoring: A program that offers a positive place for youth to go after- school. Youth are provided with a snack, a group activity and homework help.
Open September to May for grades 6 to12
